A Prayer Request

I recently started up a mom's group here so that I could save my sanity. I looked for some moms in my area on a web site and found a nice handful. There are a few of us who meet up each Friday. The kids play and the moms chat.

One of the moms has a one-year-old and a three-year-old. Both are girls. Less than two weeks ago, the one-year-old was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis.
The neurofibromatoses (NF) are a set of genetic disorders which cause tumors to grow along various types of nerves and, in addition, can affect the development of non-nervous tissues such as bones and skin. NF causes tumors to grow anywhere on or in the body. It also leads to developmental abnormalities. For example, individuals with NF have a higher incidence of learning disabilities.
A tumor was found sitting on a nerve behind one of her eyes. She will be going to St. Jude's at the end of the month to start chemo. Please pray for them when you get the chance.
