In Need of Prayers

Jay and I have some friends who have a son, A., who is two-years-old. K. had a difficult delivery and had to have an emergency cesarean section. Probably because of the rough delivery, A. has cerebral palsy. It is a very mild form, but they are fighting with the diagnosis and his necessary procedures.

K. is pregnant again and they are thrilled. They are having another little boy. They found out recently that she has placenta previa. This a condition where the placenta roots itself to the bottom of the uterus blocking the cervix. Aside from serious maternal complications that can occur, the developing baby can be born prematurely and can have birth defects. During her last sonogram, the doctor noticed a possible irregularity in the baby's heartbeat.
For those who suffer, and those who cry this night, give them repose, Lord; a pause in their burdens. Let there be minutes where they experience peace, not of man but of angels. Love them, Lord, when others cannot. Hold them, Lord, when we fail with human arms. Hear their prayers and give them the ability to hear You back in whatever language they best understand.
